Birmingham Rep Foundry

Last week Birmingham Rep announced the artists who will be involved with their year long Foundry Programme and I am delighted to be included in this as one of their writers.

On Wednesday all the writers, directors and theatre makers got to meet each other at the Rep for a photocall among other things.

We are all ready working on our first pieces for Rep 100 and so on Saturday we got to go along and explore a fraction of the Rep’s 100 year history, which all began with Sir Barry Jackson’s pioneering vision when the Rep originally opened in 1913.

The Rep will be hosting lots of events for their 100th year including Hidden Histories which I am writing a piece for and details can be found here.

I’m very excited to be part of the Rep Foundry for 2013 and I am very excited for the year ahead.
