Tappin' In on the Telly
Our Tappin' In sessions taking place on Monday mornings at Midland Heart, were joined by Midlands Today this week.
The pilot project is tackling loneliness and isolation by bringing people together for some tap dancing, sharing stories and of course a cuppa and a biscuit.
The project is supported by Heart of England and City of Culture Road to 2021 and Project Grants from the Arts Council. We are also very lucky to have our tap shoes supplied by Roch Valley and the tea and coffee is supplied by Asda.
Through our discoveries during the pilot we are looking to turn it into a much bigger project for the City of Culture year working with anyone over 18, across Coventry who feels they want to get involved and make new connections.
There will be three outcomes for each group that takes place. A sharing in their local area, a massive tap extravaganza in Coventry Centre and a film of how it all got put together and participants experiences. Hopefully more on this later in the year.
